THE TOM WOOD STORY:

 

Mr. Wood's background in the automotive industry started while he was attending Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. He was a new car salesperson for a Mercury-Edsel dealer. After college he continued to sell full time until he had the opportunity to buy a small Hillman Sunbeam dealership in Kalamazoo. Within two years the manufacturer went out of business and Mr. Wood was forced to change his operation into a wholesale-retail used car lot with a complete body shop making up the major part of the total volume. He continued that operation until moving to Indianapolis in 1967 and purchasing Hedges Pontiac, which was located at 3125 E. Washington Street.Since that initial franchise acquisition, Tom Wood, Inc. has grown to seventeen franchises and a full scale leasing operation, out of several roof-top locations in four cities - Indianapolis and Anderson in Indiana, Lexington, Kentuckyand Richfield, Minnesota. The current franchises include: Toyota/Scion, Nissan, Volkswagen, Subaru, Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, Porsche, Audi, Ford, Lexus and Honda. In addition to these franchises, there is a Quality Leasing, and Premier Acceptance.Although Mr. Wood lost a long, hard fought battle with cancer in February of 2010, his inspiring legacy in the Indianapolis community will long be remembered. Financing-

When you win an auction on eBay, we will expect you to have financing in order (or to have made arrangements with us for financing) and be ready to finalize your purchase. You can easily contact Eric Rosenthal at 888-667-7616.

Deposit and Payment-

Winning bidder or buyer needs to contact Eric Rosenthal at 888-667-7616 within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Full payment will arranged at that time. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be due within 24 hours. The buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due plus fees & taxes within 7 days. Before delivery of the vehicle can take place, all payments must be received and cleared.If no contact is made within 24 hours of the close of the auction, we reserve the right to relist, sell to the next highest bidder, or sell the vehicle locally. Please keep in mind that the vehicle is advertised locally and otherwise, and we reserve the right to end the listing early if the vehicle is sold.

Shipping-

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We can assist you with finding a shipping company if you would prefer. Please call Eric Rosenthal at 888-667-7616 for more information or for a quote. Once the vehicle leaves our dealership, it is fully the responsibility of the buyer and the shipping company. Full payment must be received before the vehicle is picked up by the shipping company.

Customer Pick-Up-

A representative from our dealership can be made available for pickup at area airports if necessary. We are minutes from Indianapolis International Airport, as well as several smaller, regional fields. Buyers must schedule pickup prior to making travel arrangements.

Extra Keys and Accessories-

Vehicles come with what is pictured UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED. While we make every reasonable effort to provide all keys, factory floormats, etc., not every vehicle has those things. If these things are not pictured, please assume they are not included with the vehicle. Please contact Eric Rosenthal at 888-667-7616 for more information.  This is a Ford F-150 truck, it has 63,XXX miles, very good condition. I put a brand new set of tires on it May 9, 2012. It also has two mini doors for extra storage behind the seats. I drive this truck daily so the mileage will go up.
